Children’s Ministry

Sunday School:

Our Sunday School ministry is about partnering in the discipleship of children with their parents. The main focus is for your child to grow in wisdom. The Bible does not give us a lot of detail about Jesus’ childhood, but it does say this: “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favour with God and men (Luke 2:52).”

Our Sunday morning routine consists of the children participating with the rest of the church members in corporate worship and observing communion and then we have a Bible lesson downstairs. We have been going through Bible stories chronologically using a curriculum called Gospel Project. This curriculum is focused on helping kids see the gospel in every story in the Bible. Each story points to Christ and through knowing what God has said, kids grow in wisdom. Your children will first hear the Bible story taught in a large group setting, then your child will be dismissed to their age appropriate classrooms where they will retell the lesson in a creative way and apply it. One of the goals is for your child to be able to share what they learned in Sunday School with a friend during the week.

Grace Bible Church Playgroup:

On Friday mornings from 9:00-11:00 a group of moms from the community get together to discuss mom-life with a cup of coffee. During the week, moms can listen to a podcast from Mother Bear Apologetics. During the playgroup time, moms can discuss their thoughts from the podcast. This group was started so that moms could encourage other moms and give their kids a fun, safe place to play with other kids.

To find out further information and the current podcast we are looking at, please contact Christine Beriault at (seagibbz@gmail.com) to be added to the Facebook chat.

We are starting again this coming Friday January 12, 2024 in the church basement. Please park at the back of the church and then walk down the ramp to the basement level. During the summer months we will be meeting at different parks and beaches every second Friday.

Spring Break Vacation Bible School:

During the first week of Spring break a half day kids camp happens at the church. We have a limit of 100 kids at this camp from 4 years old to 12 years old. Kids will be assigned a team and travel around the church building doing games, a bible lesson, crafts and snack. This cost is 30 dollars per child and runs every morning Monday to Friday. This year’s theme is Heroes of the Faith. Your children will learn about St. Patrick, Martin Luther, John Newton, George Muller and Gladys Aylward. So much can be learned from looking into history, and our goal is that your child will grow in their love for Jesus as they see how these heroes loved Jesus with all of their hearts.
