Youth Ministry
In our youth ministries at GBC we desire to partner with the families of GBC in the discipleship of their kids as well as the evangelism of their friends that don’t know Jesus. We believe that students and families thrive best when connected to a local church.
Jr. Youth is for Students from Grades 5-7 and Sr. Youth is for students in Grades 8-12. While these two are separate groups they meet at the same time. Wednesday night from 6:30 – 8:00 pm. The evening consists of games, a teaching time and a time for small groups to connect and discuss the topics being covered. Bring a toonie because we also have a candy store! All proceeds from our candy sales go to helping a young man in Rwanda go to school.
Quiz Meet is a Bible Quizzing program aimed at encouraging youth in Grades 6-12 to memorize God’s word in a fun and competitive atmosphere.
This group and their coaches meet weekly on Wednesdays from 5:45 – 6:30 pm (prior to youth group).
This year the focus of study will be a New Testament survey. This means that students will be memorizing key passages from across the whole of the New Testament.
Each year there are 3 Quiz Meet Retreats students put their skills to test and compete against quizzers from other churches. Dates and locations of the retreats will be given ahead of time to students participating in the program.
